Last week the Bees Reading Group read a book called 'Keep in Touch.' At the end of the book there were instructions on how to make an envelope. The Bees learnt how to do make envelopes with Miss Robb. Today they taught other children in the class how to make envelopes. After we had completed making our envelopes we wrote letters to put inside our letters. We reflected and talked about how easy or difficult it was to give or follow instructions.

Team Building Making a Rooster
This term our topic is team building. We are learning that we're better as a team. We cooperated and worked together to make a beautiful rooster. First of all we used tissue paper, we crumpled it and made lots of different coloured balls. Then we worked in groups to glue the balls onto the rooster. We think our rooster looks fantastic!!!

Safe Walking with Constable Harwood
Constable Harwood came into talk to us about being safe when we are crossing the road. He told us that we need to look everywhere, look up and down, look behind as well. Do not just look left and right. Constable Harwood told us that lots of people use their phones to talk on or to text when they are driving so they are not paying attention. Do not think that cars will always stop when you are crossing at a pedestrian crossing. Keep looking everywhere when you are crossing the road. If you ever see white lights at the back of a car it means that the car is going to reverse so get out of the way. Watch out for sneaky driveways. We can hear an engine. We could hear crunching tyres. We can see the tyres moving. If it is cold we might see the exhaust. We would see an adult in the drivers seat. If we are walking we go do not balance on the kerb or play on the road.

Science In a Van
We went to Science in the Van. The show was about the Troll and the Three Billy Goats Gruff. The Three Billy Goats Gruff wanted to cross the bridge but the Troll did not want to let them past. The goats got past by using forces like pushing and pulling and by using friction. We learnt that things do not move by themselves. Something does not move without a push or a pull. We also learnt that gravity pulls things to the ground and that we can create friction by rubbing our hands together.

Touch Rugby
For P.E we have been doing touch rugby. Today we did lots of fun activities to practice our skills. We are learning how to run with the ball, how to tap the ball and how to pass. When we are waiting to catch the ball we have learnt that we need to make a target in the shape of a 'W' and to look at the ball.
